Fundraising Projects
Pathfinder Search and Rescue is requesting funding for the below projects.
Educational
We need to purchase a flat screen monitor and DVD player to enhance our educational program efforts. The new system will allow us to put our educational programs on disc for use at safety fairs and other educational programs. Over the past ten (10) years we have reached over ten thousand children and approximately three thousand adults. The demand for these educational programs has increased over the last few years. Cost $500.00
Software
Pathfinder needs to purchase a software program to manage documentation of members, training, equipment and searches. Cost $1,500.00
Command Post
Printer
Our command Post printer is out of date, we need to purchase a color printer, copier and scanner combo for mission essential tasks. Cost $300.00
Laptop
Is needed for search management. This will allow us to run mapping software on one platform and administrative task on another. Cost $1,000.00
Air conditioning and heating unit combination
Will give much needed temperature control for our electronic equipment and personnel while on searches. Cost $600.00 Installation has been donated once we acquire the item.
Shade awning
The retractable shade awning will allow better weather protection for our team members while on searches, and handle overflow from our trailer. Cost $700.00
10,500 KW generator
The higher output generator will allow us to utilize our trailer more efficiently and is needed to run the A/C and heating unit. In addition it will handle more exterior lighting for safety on missions. Cost $5,500.00
Ongoing Projects
Operating Cost
Currently we operate on a budget of about $4,000.00 per year. This includes all administrative fees for running the business.
Hand held radio batteries
NI-Cad batteries for our portable radios need to be replaced on average every eighteen (18) to twenty four (24) months. Without these batteries we can not maintain communication in the field for our search teams. Cost $50.00 EA
Medical Equipment
Medical equipment and supplies must be replaced based on shelf life. Cost $500.00.
