ACE
Pathfinder Search and Rescue’s last foundation dog Trebrah's Ninja's Ace R Dream, call name Ace crossed Rainbow Bridge on 15 Oct 2007. Ace was diagnosed with bone cancer in his right rear leg. Further medical test revealed the cancer was very aggressive, advanced and had moved into his lungs and other organs. Ace’s drive and youthful nature was a joy at training and on missions. The orthopedic specialist said the cancer was at least three years in its progression. Yet Ace never showed any signs of being ill, working until his leg gave out due to inflammation from loss of bone mass. Ace did his last SAR mission with true dedication and heart three days before he passed. A true friend, teammate, partner and SAR Hero to the very end. Thanks my friend, it has been a hell of a ride!!! Deb
