Pathfinder Search and Rescue team members Kay Dawson with Oberon and Ted Krey with Pokie presented our Sit and Stay Program to Camp Fire USA Club 1-10 OKC at Quail Springs United Methodist Church this evening.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue hosted Creatures and Kids today at our classroom training site for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapeutic Animal Intervention testing and certification. 

Pathfinder was honored to have one of our canine teams Debra Potter and Ace shown working an Urban search.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue participated in Our Kids Safety Fair at the Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum today.  Our team talked about our capabilities with the public and other agencies attending.  We also had time to do some demonstrations with some of our dogs.  Everyone attending had a great time.  We want to give a special THANK YOU to Jim Sanders the Museum's Director for his many years of support to our organization.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue responded to a search this evening in Seminole, OK, luckily the child was located alive while we were en-route.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue members Kay Dawson with Oberon, and Debra Potter participated in Responsible Dog Ownership Day with Best Friends Pet Care in Oklahoma City.  Everyone had a good time with Oberon stealing the day by winning three contest.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue had 1 dog team Kacy and Heidi certify Urban the 22nd of July.  Three other Pathfinder canine teams recertified in Urban as well.  Those that recertified where Kay and Oberon, Deb and Ace and Steve and Millie.  Good job to all dogs and handlers who worked a very difficult building.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue member Kacy Parker-Kinsey and canine Heidi spoke at the Tecumseh Library to over one hundred and fifty children about "Dogs With Jobs".   Thank you Kacy and Heidi for getting the word out about our team and dogs.  For pictures please visit our Photo Album.

Team leaders Debra Potter, Steve Potter and Kay Dawson spoke about our organization at the monthly meeting of the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police today.  Topics covered where team capabilities, call out procedures and team certifications.  Thank you to Stacey Puckett for the invitation and chance to speak to such a great group of professionals.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue purchased a 6' wide by 12' long equipment trailer today.  it will primarily be an equipment trailer that will also function as a command post when needed.  We plan on having it modified and ready for use in the next few weeks.  Again we want to thank Brambles Corporation for the grant that made this purchase a reality.

As part of the Brambles grant Pathfinder Search and Rescue will be adding more GPS receivers, and other technical search and rescue equipment as needed in addition to the radios listed below.  We are very fortunate to have the support of such an outstanding corporate partner.

Thanks to a generous grant from Brambles Corporation Pathfinder Search and Rescue has been able to upgrade our field communications.  We will be using the Motorola CP200 VHF 5 watt 4 channel hand held radio, and the Motorola CM200 VHF 25 watt mobile radio as a base station, with both on 155.16 frequency.  This will increase our teams efficiency in the field with greater transmit range.  Again thanks to Brambles for their generous grant.

Pathfinder Search and Rescue presented our CLEET class for the Love County Sheriffs Department reserve deputy's.  Overall the classroom and field work was outstanding.  Thank you Love county for inviting us to teach our class and being wonderful students.
